February 15, 2006 - The Jackalopes are bidding to win the Central Hockey League’s SouthWest Division title and end a two-season playoff absence in the process. The Jacks learned Monday they will have to continue the pursuit of a division crown without their captain, as the club announced Donnie Margettie has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list.
“Losing ‘Margo’ (Margettie) is a major blow to our hockey club,” said Jackalopes Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations Don McKee. “His contributions go far beyond the score sheet. Donnie brings tremendous leadership to the team in his role as captain, and his energy and enthusiasm are contagious, both on the ice and in the locker room. He leads by example and we will need every player on our roster to assume some of that leadership.”
Margettie suffered a shoulder injury in the Jacks’ January 29 game at Lubbock when he and the Cotton Kings’ Matt McNeely dropped the gloves. With Margettie slightly off-balance, McNeely attempted a take-down, grabbing Margettie’s arm and, in the process, dislocating the shoulder.
yea right margettie is just a wimp and he hurts too easily o yea and this fight was right infront of me i even got a pic of margettie benging over holding his sholder

| I called McNeely the other day to see if he was coming back to play, no answer. I talked to Ollie though awhile ago and he told me that very, very few players from 05-06 will be coming back. Koscielny is one of them and of course Fio and I think maybe Brown. Leslie retired in case none of y'all knew that. |

| HAHAHA!!! yeah he's fine. Last time I saw him though he still hadn't gotten his mouth fixed. We call him Whistler now. His wife is pregnant FYI. |

| well good thing tucker didnt aim lower lol. thats good hes getting better, i just remember that night after the game they had to close off that end of the rink becuase they still hadnt found all his teeth and coach dashney had already had 8 or so in his hand |
