Our new coach is Jim Wiley, former coach of the San Jose Sharks (circa 96-96).

He played in 62 NHL games for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vancouver Canucks during the 70s, but he played many AAA and AA level games during those years also, including the Tulsa Oilers. He has coached since 1984 on various levels, and this will be his first coaching position since the 2003-2004 season, when he coached the Memphis Riverkings. So any Memphis fans on here, please post your impressions of him. The thing that strikes me the most is out of all his coaching positions, he has only 5 winning seasons. Now, I do not know the quality of the players he had during that time, so I'm not going to say it's good or bad. Just... odd. I'm still hopful for this year.

BTW - Dave Rattray was at the press conference. Read what you will into that.
