Scorpions new home near completion
08/31/06 - Central Hockey League (CHL) New Mexico Scorpions
New Mexico Scorpions
[RIO RANCHO, N.M.]- The New Mexico Scorpions, proud member of the Central Hockey League (CHL), state-of-the-art new home is getting closer to completion. The Santa Ana Star Center is on target to open as scheduled in late October, while the Scorpions expect to move to their new office at the arena in early October.
Since the last time photographs were sent out, the building has taken shape inside and out. The exterior walls are completed, windows and doors are being installed and the desert toned brick has been added.
Long time Scorpion hockey fans will be very pleased to see paved parking directly in front of the Santa Ana Star Center's main entrance. Gone are the days of high priced parking and long walks from your car to the arena. This year fans will enjoy driving up to the arena and no having to pay parking attendants.
As soon as fans walk in the Santa Ana Star Center, they will be amazed by the wideness and beauty of the concourses.
Large concession stands, bathrooms, team shop and more will all be housed on the main concourse level for fans to enjoy. The ladies will be pleased to know their restrooms are twice as large as the men's.
Once fans walk up the stairs from the concourse into the seating area, they will be astounded by the sightlines. With the perfect size of the Santa Ana Star Center every seat is great seat for Scorpions hockey.
Luxury suite holders will be eager to see their accommodations inside the Santa Ana Star Center. The structure of the box has been finished and some of the cabinetry has been installed.
Each suit contains a "lounge" area to accommodate members of their party with food, drinks, chairs and television. The front of the luxury suites will contain seating around the main seating bowl to enjoy the Arena's events.
The Scorpions will christen the new state-of-the-art Santa Ana Star Center on Friday, October 27, when they face the Arizona Sundogs at 7:35 p.m. This season the Scorpions feature 22 weekend home games. The schedule can also be viewed and printed by visiting www.scorpionshockey.com/schedule.
Season tickets and corporate partnership information is now available for the New Mexico Scorpions inaugural season in the Santa Ana Star Center. Make sure to reserve your seats now to be a part of all the exciting action. Reserve your season tickets for as low as $320.
