GORILLAS INK RETURNING FORWARD - Friday, September 01, 2006 at 16:22
AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today they have re-signed 2nd year forward, Rich Hansen. Hansen, 25, was 5th on the team in points last season (42) and 4th in assists (30) in just his second professional season and first in the CHL.
Before joining the Gorillas last year, the Northport, New York native saw limited action with the Muskegon Fury of the United Hockey League (UHL) appearing in only 4 games tallying just one goal. But last season proved to be a breakout campaign offensively for Hansen as he notched 12 goals and 30 assists while only missing 5 games during the regular season.
Before beginning his professional career, Hansen played college hockey at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania where he compiled 42 goals and 85 assists through a 127-game college career. Hansen becomes the 15th player signed by the Gorillas for the upcoming 2006-07 season.
Season ticket packages and corporate partnerships for the 2006-2007 season are available now! Individual game tickets, once they go on sale, can be purchased at the Gorillas Hockey Office, located at 1934 Civic Circle off of I-40 and Georgia, the Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets. These include Randy’s Music Mart, the West Texas Event Center in Canyon and United Supermarkets. Tickets can also be charged by phone at (806) 378-3096 or (806) 242-PUCK (7825). |
