| After a huge loss the Gorillas shoved in the faces of the New Mexico Scorpions, chances are they want to be the spoilers of Amarillo's home opener. Last week the Gorillas shut down the Scoprions 5-2 at the Amarillo Civic Center in a preseason game. Everything about a season can and cannot be told in the preseason so who knows what the outcome will be. The Gorillas have a well known past of blowing the home opener, but after last years last period miracle over Laredo, this town now believes anything can happen. The Gorillas are hoping to make it 2 in a row with Jamie Vandespyker starring in the net and league rookie Matt Miller on the frontline with NHL Veteran Jeremy Stevenson. This should be a good showdown but odds are tilting the Gorillas way. |
