Oilers Home Opener Saturday
Rival Time:
The Tulsa Oilers take on two of their long time rivals this weekend, playing at Oklahoma City Friday night at 7:35 p.m. that game will be broadcast on KRVT AM 1270 and available via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com. On Saturday the Oilers host the Wichita Thunder in their home opener at 7:35 p.m. That will be round two of the Johnny Carino’s Challenge Cup series.
Tough Start:
The Oilers dropped their opening game of the season, losing 4-2 to the Wichita Thunder on Friday night. The Oilers led 1-0 and were tied 2-2 after two periods before Wichita scored on a 5-on-3 man advantage, and later added and even strength goal.
Striking First:
Left winger David Masse scored the first goal of the season for the Oilers. He fired home a beautiful centering pass from Bryan LaChapelle notching the only goal of the first period Friday night.
Wigging Out:
Right winger Mike Wiggins scored the Oilers first power play goal of the season. His tally tied the game 2-2 in the second period on Friday night.
Back In Action:
The Oilers expect to have left winger Jaroslav Cesky and defenseman Kevin Harris available for action this weekend. Both players were among several throughout the CHL who had delays in immigration papers being processed.
Tickets Here:
Oiler season tickets for the 2006-07 season, as well as individual tickets for the first three games are now on sale. Season ticket prices are the same as the 2004-05 season, ranging from $300 to $475. | Another victory for the Thunder. Not a surprise really, sounds like there are alot of disgruntal fans down South not happpy with the team even though it is early. |

| Yeah, yeah, I'm tired of all the bitching. This team will be great when they all get on the same page. But then they'll be jumping on the bandwagon. Hell, they were bitching before the season even started so why stop now? BTW, Rozy's a faker! We got a high sticking major for nothing! :icon_angry-smiley-055: |

And that is a surprise about Roz????
It isn't like you guys have lost to expansion teams. We made the playoffs and so did OKC so you are loosing to teams that made the playoffs and returned alot of players when Tulsa didn't make the playoffs and is bringing back almost an entire new team.
All the bitchers now will be cheering when you go on a 5 game winning streak saying this is the best teams they have seen in years. Maybe they should go to Glassrattler and join all the Thunder bitchers. |
